We endeavor to help entrepreneurs bring products and services to market that enhance people’s quality of life and help make the world a better place.
Fulcrum Financial Partners has led or participated in financing rounds for technology spin-offs from Duke, UNC, and NC State University, as well as other regional and national universities. Our investments have encompassed such diverse fields as metabolytics, microfluidics, next-generation textiles, infant nursing, water filtration and purification, applied low coherence interferometry, biomaterials processing, applied raman spectroscopy, SaaS platforms, and aquatic safety.

Our Philosophy
At Fulcrum, we believe in investing towards a better future. Our philosophy guides our investment process, and accordingly we favor venture candidates whose potential includes not only positive financial returns, but also positive societal returns. We look for companies that can make money and contribute to making the world a better place. Finally, we recognize that, historically, the venture community has a poor track record of financing projects in under-served communities. At Fulcrum, we support women and minority-owned and managed businesses and encourage qualified venture candidates to consider us as potential investment partners.
